July 19, 2013
This day, 4th of July, has always been one of my favorites. I pretty much am all about red, white and blue every year. And when Samantha asked if I would photograph her wedding and that there would be fireworks and a major theme of red, white and blue I was beyond excited. That and working with kreatid on a holiday seemed like the perfect bonus to me. (in case you don’t know she is my second photographer for most weddings and just happens to be my sister…I feel blessed for sure to do this with her)
The 4th of July is a day spent with families and friends, grilling out, sparklers and fireworks…remembering your loved ones who fought for you for the freedom we so enjoy. Samantha and Joey wanted that…it was set in a beautiful home in the Broadmoor. The backyard was filled with gorgeous displays of flowers, a wisteria gazebo and fountain surrounded by lavender. Tables were displayed with beautiful floral arrangements by Sunflower Creative, with classic coca cola bottles, chalkboard and of course red, white and blue details. While the atmosphere demonstrated such a beautiful backyard elegance it was this couple that I so enjoyed watching. Samantha and Joey…loved that they incorporated back yard games for kids, a huge jump house ( I might have been tempted to try it out but I held back. 😉 ) Despite a rainy delay this couple just seemed happy to celebrate and be with their loved ones. It was such an honor to photograph this beautiful wedding! Enjoy a few photos from that beautiful day! Congrats again Samantha and Joey!
Stunning location! I love the gazebo they were married under. Great use of Red/White/Blue without going overboard. Centerpieces were a cute idea. Your pictures are amazing! Great job and thanks for sharing 🙂
