What a sweet family.  I was completely smitten with their daughter Emerson.  I was warned she would possibly be very shy with me…but soon she was running around calling me Elzabeth and trying to take photos of me taking photos of Griffin.  There is something about winning over a shy child…its a challenge and a sweet victory for me to see kids feel comfortable with me.  In the end I think it has more to do with the fact that I like playing with them.  🙂  Oh and Griffin…SERIOUSLY adorable.  Loved his handsome features and his cute cheeks.

For me, newborn sessions are so much more than cute posing…dont get me wrong I love that.  But its about the little details that one day when they are older you are going to want to look back and smile on.  The moments where you snuggled and loved on them.  My babies are older now…getting them to slow down long enough for snuggles is harder.  And I sometimes just miss that sweet newborn phase.  So its kind of a win win for me when I do newborn sessions.  I get to snuggle with your beautiful babies (I call it posing but secretly I’m getting my snuggles in) and go back to those moments I remember so dearly with mine.  Congrats again Brad and Katie!  Such an honor to photograph such a precious time for you guys!
