Michael and Michelle | Cherokee Ranch and Castle | Denver Wedding Photographer

August 26, 2015

The Cherokee Ranch and Castle will make you pull back and lose your breath for a minute when you first see it.  It honestly feels like you stepped into a real life fairy tale.  The gorgeous stonework, big tall windows, large paintings, metal armor, winding staircases, so many amazing details…it kind of feels as if time stood still and you just want to pause and take it all in.  Add in all the amazing details that Michelle and her Mom and several of her friends helped in making this wedding come together.  Details like their family crests on cocktail napkins, or the scrolls they made with their ceremony details.  At the reception they had a stunning cake, gorgeous floral work, antlers, and candle light…little tiny bees and honey sticks adorned several tables.  So personal and so well thought out.  This was a wedding that people will remember and talk about.

As Michelle arrived with her bridesmaids she gave me the biggest hug and said, “can you believe its here?!”  Haha, her excitement, happiness, infectious smiles are one of the things that stands out to me about her.  Not only that but all through out the day, she would be asking if she could help people with anything, or she would randomly be giving out hugs…Michelle loves people in such a beautiful way.  She is a stunning woman for sure on the outside…but its outshone by who she is as a person.   And her family and friends all would say the same thing.  But when Michael talks about her…you know she is treasured, adored and will be so loved.   All through out the portraits…WOW, isn’t my wife stunning.  Helping her with her dress, randomly kissing her or hugging her.  And Michael, his personality kind of sneaks up on you.  The calm and steady personality but with a sense of humor that takes you by surprise.  I love that about people I meet.  The hidden pieces of who people are that are revealed through out a day in working with them.  Not only that, I loved his interaction with his family.  And Michelle as well…this is what I love seeing in weddings.  The planning that all goes into place many months in advance but on the day…you just sit back and enjoy it.  Beautiful and such a gift that I get to photograph so many beautiful moments like that.

Michelle and Michael, it simply was an honor to be part of your wedding day.  To have laughed, dreamed and gotten to know you guys through out the year is a treasure!  Many blessings to you guys on your new marriage.
