What an amazing day for Nicci and David.  Their friends and family gathered at the gorgeous venue of Deer Creek Valley Ranch.    Horses grazed in a field at sunset, big tall pine trees, and amazing views of the mountains…this is a stunning place to get married at.  Throw in soft touches of peach and lace against the rustic barn…and this was simply stunning to photograph.

Every wedding that Jen and I photograph we end up with a favorite for the day…a moment or shot etc.  And for this wedding, when David saw Nicci for the first time as she was walking down the aisle towards him.  Happiness, tears and intense emotion were so easy to see in his expression.  Nicci looking at David with tears in her eyes…I’m telling you, there was not one dry eye in this crowd as we observed, photographed that beautiful moment.  It will go down as one of my favorites for a couple seeing each other for the first time.

The toasts, given by the best man, maid of honor, and father of the bride…I laughed, had tears in my eyes and watched just how loved Nicci and David were.  It was the perfect balance of what you would want a toast to be at a wedding and I loved getting to witness that.

I do however feel I should say this was one epic dance reception for Nicci and David.  Nicci and David’s parents decided to throw in a surprise flash dance party to the Cupid Shuffle.  Yes, they had emailed the guests ahead of time to get out on the dance floor to the tune of Cupid Shuffle.  Still makes me laugh.
