Beautiful and bold fall colors set the tone for this wedding’s decor.   Leaves scattered through out with tea lights set in painted mason jars on freshly cut aspen trees.  Everything about their decor was so inviting…making you want to stay and visit with your friends and family that you hadn’t seen in a while.  Jessica had couches placed out on the balcony at the Boettcher mansion for the reception.  I can still hear the easy laughter and happiness that flowed through out the evening.  Beer toasts and late night french fry snacks…this was not a wedding for dancing but for mingling for sharing stories and making sweet memories.   Jon and Jessica personally selected every song for the night and many songs brought so many happy nostalgic memories back.

This was such a special wedding to photograph.  I know, I say that a lot  but I’m so involved in each wedding I photograph, the people I meet…I’m drawn in to how they interact, how they love on their new hubby or wife.    Its simply a beautiful and emotional day for me to witness and to preserve.     During the ceremony, Jon would  be looking at Jessica…he would be whispering to her, she’d smile and look back at him.  Or he would stop and kiss her hands.  So often the ceremony becomes a repeat after me moment…and its easy to get swept away with going through the motions but they were so genuinely in the day that it was breath taking to watch.   I’m so honored to have photographed their wedding and I’d love to share a few favorites from that beautiful fall day!
