Traveling from Colorado to Arizona and then back again for a sweet wedding…its something of a shock in the winter especially. I’m looking out my window at about a foot and a half of snow on my deck. While Colorado has all this crazy amount of snow I’m editing a stunning, sunny wedding that has palm trees in it. I mean…do I have the coolest job or what?
All joking aside, this was a special wedding for me to photograph with my sister Jen. It was special because I knew that this couple are people she calls friends. Kristy is someone she does life with, laughs, cry’s and they lift each other up to be better. And I loved that I got to be part of Kristy’s beautiful day not only because I love getting to be a wedding photographer but because of how important she is to Jen. One of my favorite moments, of which there are several, was when her Dad was walking her down the aisle. He looks at her and you can just see how unbelievable happy and proud he is of his daughter. So beautiful to see. Or when I saw my sister crying during the vows of her friends. Or how Josh made Kristy laugh during their first dance. I mean, really I could go on about how many favorites I have. I get asked often which is the most important shot during a wedding…and I simply say all of them. 🙂 And its true…so many beautiful moments that help shape each couples wedding day.
This wedding was full of gorgeous details, that everyone knows I love to photograph. I am telling you the floral work was simply stunning. The campus had so many architectural details, and beautiful soft tones of greens in the palm trees, soft tropical flowers…ahhh, it was so beautiful! I loved the white brick fireplace that had candles lit with a beautiful floral garland where Josh and Kristy shared their personal vows. So precious and intimate.
I’d love to share a few of my favorites from Saturday’s stunning Arizona wedding…
