YMCA of the Rockies Wedding
This was my first time photographing a wedding up at the YMCA of the Rockies…and lets just say my jaw fell open and I was thinking…how can this be my job? Haha…just stunning looking at the Rocky Mountain National Park as a backdrop for Hannah and David’s beautiful wedding. Views for miles everywhere. Of course, like any Colorado Wedding, you get ALL the weather in less than 4 hours…especially in the mountains. We had crazy wind before the ceremony, then half way through rain and wind…THEN the sun broke through and I did a happy dance thinking about doing their wedding portraits at sunset. You get to go through all season quite often in a wedding day. And I love how each Colorado Wedding brings about its own uniqueness.
One of my favorite trends in 2017…well, its just starting out but I’m beginning to see it more and more, is where the bridesmaids are given a color palette and then they choose a dress in that tone. It allows your girls to have some creativity and it looks amazing to photograph! Loved that Hannah and her bridesmaids chose to do that. I’m hoping it stays for 2018 Weddings too.
During the ceremony up at the YMCA Rockies deck, Hannah and David’s son would often run up to them and say hi then run back to his grandma….ummmm, that was just crazy cute. Haha. I loved watching them love on him through out the day and you could see just how much this couple adores each other and their sweet family. Such an incredible privilege and honor to photograph them. I can’t wait to share a few of my favorites from their day. If you’d like to see more head on over to my facebook page with this link
Also, at the end of this post will be a list of all the talented vendors that helped make this Rocky Mountain Wedding a success for Hannah and David. Congrats again Hannah and David! Wishing you both the best ! So thankful to have worked with you both!

As the usual, you’re amazing! And what a beautiful sweet couple! I have to say i am falling in LOVE with your black and whites lately!
Wow!!! Cannot wait to photograph there in just a month away! Beautiful as always Elizabeth!
BEAUTIFUL SHOTS of a beautiful venue! I especially love the shots on the road.
Yes!! I love when brides let their ladies pick their own dresses within a certain color palette. It’s so hard to find a universal dress that looks great on every body type AND allows all the bridesmaids to feel confident. I hope this trend sticks too!
And this entire wedding is GORGEOUS! You did a beautiful job documenting their day! ?
What a beautiful scenery for a wedding! Great work capturing such an intimate and special moment.
You captured such stunning images and gorgeous details! What a joy it must have been to document a Rocky Mountain National Park wedding! The venue is breath-taking.
Gorgeous!!! Just super pretty from beginning to end. I love you work.
The wedding photography you have taken at the YMCA Rockies location is pure magic! I agree completely that the bridesmaids dresses, being different, gives them their own flare, but keeping the dresses the same color shows their unity. This is represented so well in your wedding photography!
Having been to the rockies, I can totally imagine what a stunning wedding this must have been! Gorgeous photos of a beautiful couple!
