Spruce Mountain Ranch

Spruce Mountain always takes my breath away for weddings.   Alvin and Sarah’s ceremony took place outside with the gorgeous foothills of Spurce Mountain as its backdrop.    As they were sharing their vows a herd of cows grazed out in the fields…the sun was just beginning to set, it was just so serene and beautiful.

Alvin and Sarah chose to have a first look.  Which for those of you that do not know what that means,  they chose to see each other privately before they shared their vows.  They wanted to have more time with their guests and for photos after.    In my opinion, a very wise decision as a wedding day goes so incredibly fast it allows you more time with your new spouse too.   They had written to each other in a new journal for each other and both read them before turning and seeing each other.  So sweet!   For many they fear that the moment where you walk down the aisle is no longer as special.  That is simply not true.  Its always a powerful and emotional feeling to see your loved one walk towards you as you share your new beginning and vows together.  When Alvin and Sarah saw each other as she walked down with her parents, their was not a dry eye anywhere.  You could feel how special the other was for each other.  I loved that.  I know its hard to pick favorites on a wedding day…but that one was mine.  Or maybe it was the way Alvin and Sarah’s friends and family in their bridal party made everyone laugh and how they particularly helped the bride and groom whenever their was a need.  Wedding’s are always such an incredible honor for me to photograph every time.  Its beautiful to see so many people gather around a couple with well wishes and sweet words of encouragement.  For Sarah and Alvin,  thank you so much for having me be part of your day.  Allowing me to document your vows and new beginning.  At the end of this post will be links to all the amazing and talented vendors that helped make this day possible for Alvin and Sarah.   I’ve also shared more on my facebook page, if you’d like to check that out head on over to with this link
