Garden of the Gods Club | Colorado Springs Wedding
Garden of the Gods is absolutely breathtaking. I take it for granted often. I live in this gorgeous city that overlooks Pikes Peak and Garden of the Gods and its a view that is incredible. From Reese’s suite at the Garden of the Gods club it over looks not only their beautiful gardens but that incredible park that might have been backed up for miles on Reese and Sam’s gorgeous wedding day. Their ceremony was at the back of the club by the reflection pool at the Garden of the Gods club. Seriously you can’t google images of this venue with out seeing all the stunning imagery of that pool I was so excited for my chance to photograph a wedding there. I might have almost fallen in during the family portraits. But…fortunately my 2nd Melissa grabbed me. Haha. Gosh I live a glamorous life. 😉
Reese and Sam, the sweetest couple. I adored the way Sam would make Reese laugh or smile all day. The way he held her on the dance floor and the way she looked at him…this couple adores each other and it was incredible to photograph them. For their portraits we had a ton of time to go through the Garden of the Gods park. We knew going into Labor day weekend that the traffic would be at its highest around this park so they rented a limo and we all got to drive in style through the park. It made our life SO much easier getting to stop at some of the more unique spots in the park. I might have even had Sam and Reese climb up a few rocks. I’m still kind of laughing at that moment and it will go down as one of my favorite portrait sessions as both Sam and Reese were game for anything. And I loved that about them. They had fun, we laughed, I got to take some epic photos, and their bridal party got to drink champagne all through out the park. I’d say that is a win win.
Okay, now I also need to mention that one of my favorite things about their wedding besides all that I mentioned lol is that they had food trucks for their wedding day! They had 3 different trucks where guests could go from truck to truck and fill up their plates for dinner. How fun is that!? Tacos, pizza, greek food…take me back!! So much fun and yes, we might have had rain off and on through out the day but who doesn’t a little sense of adventure on their wedding day.
I could not be more excited to share their gorgeous Garden of the Gods Wedding and at the end of this post will be a list of all the talented vendors that helped make this day possible for Reese and Sam. To Reese and Sam, thank you so much for your incredible adventurous spirit, for your encouragement on my work and for showing me your beautiful love! I’m so honored to have been part of your day!
