Spruce Mountain Colorado Wedding | Cody and Lauren
I’ve been looking forward to Cody and Lauren’s wedding from the moment I met them. Or heard of them I should say. It was actually a pretty fun way to get a client. I was photographing another sweet couple’s wedding day and Cody and Lauren just so happened to be checking out the venue that my clients were getting married at. Nick and Christine told Cody and Lauren they had to hire me!!! Ahhh, much love to you guys! Then later on when Lauren was researching florists Twigs and Posies… she said the same thing. And finally, when Lauren was trying on her wedding dress at The Bridal Collection, they also mentioned my name. You guys, full circle to me photographing their wedding and it felt like it was absolutely meant to be.
What a wedding at Spruce Mountain! Gorgeous views, a mountain side ceremony where the deer came out to graze half way through their vows, and a couple that simply makes you smile when you are around them…it was an amazing day for sure. Cody and Lauren, they have known each other for years. And you can see how easily they fit. Balances to each other. But I also love how much they laugh and love on the other. Photographing them was absolutely fun for me…either at their engagement or their wedding. The friends and family that surrounded them were all so incredibly fun. I mean the dancing later on that night…truly magic.
I loved that their wedding had so many personal details as well, six pence in her shoes that her grandma, and her Mom used on their wedding day. Or the handmade delicious desserts that all of her family made. Seriously, there were so many options!! Not only that but they had so many that both Chelsea and I took home a few plates. Haha…my family loved that. So thank you Lauren to your family for the yummy desserts. But back to the personal touches…I also happen to be a huge fan of Lauren’s first dance with her Dad. Half way through and we were all tearing up and then the beat changes and she throws on her sunglasses with her Dad and they proceed to dance to a collection of different fun songs. SO cute and I loved seeing that connection.
I simply can not choose my favorites from their wedding day as there are WAY too many but I can’t wait to share a glimpse at their gorgeous Spruce Mountain Colorado Wedding. To Lauren and Cody, thank you for being such an incredible couple to work with. For being so encouraging and fun and so genuine! I wish you the best in your next adventure!
