Breckenridge Micro Wedding | Maris and Kevin
Gosh I’ve been excited to share this beautiful Breckenridge Micro Wedding! Maybe some of you have not heard of the term Micro Wedding. I admit its pretty new to this year for me. It just means you have all the details you would have on a regular wedding day such as getting ready, ceremony, first dance, cake and toasts …the micro is making it paired down on the guest count. Maris and Kevin had to make the difficult decision because of Covid to make it a smaller event for their wedding. What I love about here is their beautiful wedding was that all the details and thought they put into were shared with their immediate family. The love and care that was given to Maris and Kevin that day was so beautiful! And I need to mention that Breckenridge is SO amazing to get married at! So many beautiful places that you could take a couple for portraits. I had gone a few hours early to scout out and look for places I’ve never photographed there and I fell in love again with those Colorado mountains. Wild flowers could be found in random rock walls, mini baby pine trees making their way into creating forests, streams and of course a quick thunderstorm…both before and after ceremony. In Colorado you can expect afternoon showers in July. Maris and Kevin were game for any adventure on their day and I was so glad they opted to have a first look. It allowed them the opportunity to share their personal vows between the two of them and more time to spend together on their wedding.
Their ceremony was set up in her Dad’s backyard that overlooked the gorgeous mountains. They set up tables outside with stunning flowers and had their meals catered in with such delicious small plate options. I loved the relaxed and fun vibe of their reception with guests lounging in Adirondack chairs while listening to the beautiful live string instruments music being played. Maris and Kevin shared their first dance to Skinny Love and were later sent off with sparklers. Just a magical beautiful and intimate day that I’m so honored to have shared with them.
To Maris and Kevin, thank you so much for having me on your incredible day. For allowing me to be my crazy excited artist and for laughing at me…or with me haha. You are both a dream to work with and I love following along on your fur babies adventures. Wishing you both the best in your next part of your journey!
