Deer Creek Valley Ranch Wedding | Jenny and Alex

I absolutely loved revisiting this beautiful May Wedding up at Deer Creek Valley Ranch. Makes me want to go back and photograph Jenny and Alex’s wedding all over again. There is a certain joy and happiness that Jenny brings about anytime you are near her. And while you would expect that on a wedding day from anyone…it was just simply impossible not to experience that around her. You can see it in the images. They way Alex made a top 10 list for Jenny during their vows had everyone laughing including Jenny of course. But not only the laughter but the absolute adoration that Alex has for Jenny and the same for Jenny with Alex. They had to postpone their wedding from 2020 to 2021. It was that FINALLY feeling I think for the guests for Jenny and Alex…for myself. It was yes, lets celebrate. And what a day to celebrate. It was small and intimate and perfection. I loved the bright colors they chose accented against the bridesmaids soft pink dresses. The cocktail hour lent itself to a speak easy bar easily. With a live jazz band playing incredible hits but in a bluesy way. It was set up in the basement of Deer Creek Valley Ranch. It has a gorgeous bar, fun games and a space that guests could easily spread out and mingle. I loved that Alex and Jenny opted to have more time with their guests during cocktail hour and chose to have photos taken before hand. The day ended up getting slightly rainy so they had their ceremony indoors and just went outside for their first dance. This venue is awesome that you can have all the options! One thing that I love about weddings now…is that there aren’t as many traditional rules that everyone is having to follow. Do you want a larger wedding, smaller wedding but not an elopement, or just have it be the two of you? Gosh, guys, weddings should absolutely be catered to what you and your fiance hope and dream for. You get to decide and I love seeing that change for my clients. While the pandemic absolutely crushed so my dreams of weddings it brought about a much needed change in how couples celebrate. Fine tuning to what matters and who matters most to each couple. I could not be happier to see that celebration and joy brought to Jenny and Alex’s wedding.
