Della Terra Mountain Chateau | Alyssa and Alex
When a wedding gets to become a work cation…sign me up! I would have wanted to photograph Alyssa and Alex’s wedding anywhere though. I’ve gotten to know them through out the years when I first did their engagement session. We had a near miss off the side of the mountain…lived to tell the story. 😉 I knew after we all nervously laughed that we would get along just fine. Well, the pandemic hit and two years ago (can’t believe it was two years ago now) we did an elopement hiking adventure with just their immediate family and close friends. You can tell a lot about couples from their family and friends. These two are obviously surrounded by a deep and sweet connection with their family. I love seeing that. I loved how easily the siblings would tease Alex. A feeling I can relate to with my own. When a family is willing to hike at dawn you know you got a good one. Fast forward to last summer and we finally got to celebrate with extended family and friends at Della Terra Mountain Chateau.
Let me tell you guys, Estes Park is one of the most visited places for mountain getaways. And for good reason. The town is absolutely charming with one of a kind shops, delicious food, and an atmosphere that invites enjoying the beautiful outdoors. Della Terra Mountain Chateau is nestled right outside of the Rocky Mountain National Park. Surrounded by gorgeous established pine trees, rocky beautiful terrain and the mountains just peaking through. What an epic place to get married at. I’m always so in love with the big tall windows inside the main room. It lets in all that gorgeous light that I love to photograph. For Alex and Alyssa’s wedding the sun decided to give me the most beautiful golden hour. We ran out just before toasts to capture it before it slipped down behind the mountains. Gosh I still remember those toasts shared by their parents and friends. As well as a surprise toast from her brother. Tears were shared by all. Reminiscing this wedding has me incredibly excited to share more stories this summer. With couples like Alyssa and Alex my job never felt like one. I celebrated with them and loved every minute of working with them. Wishing the two of you many incredible moments together.
