Blanc | A Denver City Wedding | Taylor and Colin
Blanc has been on my bucket list for wedding venues I’d love to photograph. I did a styled session there a few years ago and I was just so in love with its unique and chic vibe. White washed walls, with industrial beams, gorgeous windows that overlook the garden and into the city streets. Market lights through out and I absolutely loved the ceremony site for Taylor and Colin’s wedding. The big doors that open into what would later be the cocktail hour had added touches of vines by Prive Events. It felt a bit like a secret urban garden space. While I absolutely loved getting to photograph Blanc, this couple made for some of my favorite wedding moments. They are so charming and I could not get enough of how these two love and appreciate each other. It was shown in every detail and their happiness…okay, I say it a lot but these two you could not help but feel their happiness leap off their images. It was impossible to not smile back.
Colin and Taylor’s day started at the Ramble Hotel in downtown Denver. This hotel is so eclectic and fun! I wanted to stay and explore more here for sure. I loved Taylor’s beautiful suite with the big windows. The way the frames created reflections all through out the hotel had this photog geeking out quite a bit. Haha. Probably why they laughed so much that day. 😉 Taylor and Colin opted to have their first look in Taylor’s suite. Watching Taylor walk up to Colin and how quick he was to spin around…these two. Easy to photograph. Easy to see how much they love each other. Another favorite for me on this wedding was seeing how close Taylor and Colin were with their family. Both side love big and it was inspiring to be around. Taylor wanted to have a first look with her Dad and her brothers…their reactions were the best and had everyone cheering. Some of them might have refused to not wear sunglasses so I couldn’t share the tears they had haha. We all know though.
The ceremony took place in the courtyard of the Blanc. Beautiful city vibes all around with incredible florals and plants. Such an intimate place to get married at. Taylor walked out with her parents towards Colin…I say I’m lucky to have this job and its in this moment I always feel it. To be part of someone’s pure and precious day is truly a gift that I’m thankful for. Witnessing someone’s love story and getting to give that back to them in something tangible….always so honored.
The toasts, dancing, and incredible dining all took place inside the Blanc. Surrounded by candle lit tables, marking lighting and beautiful floral details on each table and even climbing up the beams…this was a stunning reception. I loved the long farmhouse style table they had for their wedding party. I have to say that the toasts were exceptional. I love that I get to hear a bit more about my couples through these toasts. Roasting is pretty much always a given and I’m here for it. Haha. Well done to Taylor and Colin’s family and crew for keeping everyone laughing and maybe shedding a tear or two.
Taylor and Colin, you guys were so much fun to spend the day with. I love that I get to see pieces of your life on instagram and that beautiful love you guys so easily share. Thank you for having me on your stunning wedding day! Wishing you both all the happiness and light!
