Creekside Event Center Wedding | Sash and Brandon | Colorado Springs Wedding

Its currently 10 degrees out and as I’m looking at these beautiful photos from Brandon and Sasha’s wedding day I’m reminded of summer time warmth. In true Colorado form the weather shows up that day and decided to be one of the hottest days. One thing I can say about this couple, they adapt so easily. They switched to having their reception inside and all the guests breathed a sigh of thankful relief. Haha…but in all seriousness they knew their guests would be enjoying that dance floor later on and I loved that they planned ahead for that. Creekside Event Center is not only beautiful but offers options for the couple for all weather. And if you are getting married in Colorado I recommend a wedding venue that can give you options at any moment of your wedding day. 😉

Sash and Brandon, I don’t know if I just draw in similar characteristic traits in my clients but these two were an easy connection for me. I loved how playful they were at their engagement session. I loved how easily they laughed with me…at me? 😉 Their story was such a movie story to me. They dated in high school and ended up going separate ways for a season in their life. Fate put these two back together and Brandon knew he wasn’t going to let Sasha slip away again. They eased back into each others life and its sense of rightness was so obvious in everything they do together. The family connection they share with not only their parents but with their extended family was so heartwarming to be surrounded by. Their wedding was a huge celebration with their friends and family with many saying…about time. 😉 I loved that for them.

I think for me my favorite part of their wedding at the Creekside Event Center was the ceremony. Underneath the canopy of large cottonwood trees and the gorgeous pergola…these two had smiles that were so gorgeous for the other one. Not a dry eye in the crowd it seemed as everyone heard them share their vows together. Celebrations like this one are a big part of why I love photographing weddings. Its such an incredible honor to witness and be part of moments like theirs.
