Flying Horse Ranch Wedding | Steven and Jordan
Oh hello there. Its blog season for me again. This is where I get to go back and share in the beautiful stories of my clients wedding days through their images. Its been a comeback year for me. Two years of navigating some very troubled waters in the wedding industry was quite the challenge. While you still saw pieces of the pandemic this year was a year of tremendous celebration. So for the next few months I will be sharing the many adventures I went on photographing so many gorgeous Colorado weddings and the stories my clients opened up and allowed me to tell.
Steven and Jordan, we met a few years ago for their engagement session. They brought their adorable fur babies and Jordan’s mom was there to help wrangle them up in between photos. I followed Jordan on instagram and I loved seeing the beautiful connection she so obviously shares with anyone she meets. But especially with her family and through Steven’s. It was December of last year when they made a phone call to me and asked if I could photograph an elopement so that Steven’s mom could be part of their vows in the last moments of her life. The outpouring love these two had from their friends who stood beside them and their family as they laughed and cried and shared these two’s commitment to each other was so special for me to witness. The love Steven and his Mom shared was so touching and inspiring. It reminded me of how important moments photographed are often timeless treasures my clients will forever get to have. Its a gift that I’ve been given to hold those moments with my clients and one I take seriously. I know that weddings are often some of the last big moments my clients get to share with their family. Its a big part of my why on photographing weddings.
Steven and Jordan moved forward with their wedding in April of 2022. And while they missed the beautiful souls gone too soon they were never far from being part of their wedding day. I loved the way they included Jordan’s grandma in photos as well as Steven’s Mom.
Steven, it needs to be said that when he see’s Jordan whether its for a first look or walking down the aisle towards him…it is written on his face just how much he loves her. The same can be said of Jordan. What an absolute joy to watch these two share their vows with their family earlier in the year and then again with their friends later on at the Flying Horse Ranch. And in typical spring weather Colorado decided to give us about 50 mile an hour wind during their portraits. That makes for some interesting thinking outside the box real fast moments for me and Chelsea. I’m happy to say this crew rocked their model hair and we were gifted with a beautiful sunset with bit milder weather later on.
These two danced under the market lights in the beautiful barn at Flying Horse Ranch. So much happiness for Jordan and Steven. Thank you so much for allowing me to be part of so many incredible moments with you. Its been an absolute joy working with you! And I wish you both the best in your newest adventures.
