Evergreen Lakehouse Colorado Wedding | Katie and Cole
I’ve been blogging since early January the many beautiful adventures I went on last year for the 2022 Colorado wedding season. Its often that wedding season is a high intensity blur of incredible work. The months where I can slow down and relive those days are absolutely amazing for me. Photos take me back to the day, the couple, their friends and family and I’m once again reminded just how special my job is. To be let in to celebrate with guests, to photograph stunning moments…not only portraits but the beautiful candid portions of a day that bring friends and family from all over the country …such an amazing honor.
Katie and Cole, I met them for their engagement session several months prior to their wedding. We hiked and explored the Paint mines…if you’ve never been its a fun place and easy hike. I recommend seeing it! But back to Katie and Cole, these two know how to have a fun time. In fact I’d say it comes very naturally for these two to laugh and charm those that are around them. On their wedding day, Chelsea and I said it was easily one of happiness for both of us in working for them. Their friends made us feel as if we had known them for years as well as Katie and Cole. Their first look was easily one of my favorites of the season. They had read notes to each other before turning to see the other in their beautiful wedding attire. They laughed and cried at the others words and when they saw each other…ahh, had me tearing up. I loved that they were very clearly the others best friend. That same energy was there when Katie walked towards Cole down the aisle. Just gorgeous.
Katie and Cole chose the gorgeous Evergreen Lakehouse as their wedding venue. I have to say its a personal favorite for me as well. I love the laid back vibes of Colorado people on paddle boards and canoes in the lake that sits just behind the wedding ceremony. Not only that but the lodge is stunning all lit up at night with the tall vaulted ceilings and beautiful wood work through out. The gorgeous floral work and candles so stunning! And gosh, the dance scene, so much fun with all the guests and Katie and Cole right there in the middle of it having the best day.
Katie and Cole, thank you so much for having me and Chelsea. We had the best time photographing you guys! Absolutely lovely being part of your life moments and I simply hope for the best in all your latest adventures!
