Spruce Mountain Ranch Wedding | Melissa and Justin

The first wedding of my 2023 Colorado Wedding season started in January! Colorado in the winter is just gorgeous. Melissa and Justin had their wedding at the Alberts Lodge, also known as the lower ranch at Spruce Mountain. And it has those mountain lodge vibes with its stunning vaulted ceilings and pine interior. Melissa and Justin had candles lit on all the tables with natural pine branches and twinkly lights. The ambiance was a winter wedding dream! I’ve always loved how Spruce Mountain Ranch adds in the market lights on all the pine trees and year round they look so beautiful lit up at night. The warm fireplace added the perfect backdrop for Melissa and Justin to share their vows inside.

Right from the start Chelsea and I were welcomed in by Melissa and her friends in the bridal suite. I loved that you could hear them all laughing while music softly played in the background. Melissa seemed to be taking it all in and I loved that I could see her happiness. During the toasts her best friend shared so many sweet moments the two of them had and I loved how close she was to not only her long time friendships but family too. And Justin was clearly loved by his brother and family and they couldn’t help but roast him…I mean give him a toast that had us all laughing. And then tearing up. This couple expressed such sweet gratitude all day long and it was so easy for Chelsea and I to celebrate their beautiful wedding with them. During the reception, Justin and Melissa were able to visit with guests and it was obvious just how important each person was. Friendships and family sharing such an incredible day…its part of the magic in photographing weddings for me. Having a front row seat to how two people love each other and are equally loved by friends is truly an amazing part of my job. Each couple I’ve celebrated this year has been incredible to photograph. From start to finish I can’t wait to share the magic of my 2023 wedding season. Here are a few favorites from Melissa and Justin’s beautiful wedding day!
