The Oaks at Plum Creek Wedding Venue | Kaila and Jim

This was my first time photographing at the Oaks at Plum Creek. What a gorgeous well through out wedding venue! SO many unique spaces that I would love to go back and photograph more of. The bridal suite was light and airy with gorgeous boho touches. There was a beautiful patio that steps out into these incredible cement walls and pine trees that filter light just perfectly. It made for a great spot for photos with Kaila and her crew! I LOVED that cement wall…haha sounds weird but it made for such a stunning backdrop. One of my favorite places at the Oaks at Plum Creek was the bar…actually has two bars but the one I particularly loved had the most unique floors and lighting. Add in the big tall windows and this was a photographers dream to photograph with all the natural light. The Oaks also added in a feature wall with wood paneling. Such a modern and interesting place for Jim and his crew for their portraits.

When Chelsea and I walked in to the Bridal suite, Kaila greeted us with such sweet encouragement. We felt instantly welcomed into her day and I loved how obviously happy she was. Weddings can bring about stress in wanting to make sure your day is perfect but I could tell Kaila just trusted her team to make things happen. All through out the day she would say I get to marry my best friend. Her priorities were Jim and the beautiful vows they would share. It set the tone to handle the crazy Colorado weather. We had a little bit of sunshine, mixed with a lot of rain, and then a sweet sunset…followed by a lot more rain. Jim and Kaila, they never forgot the heart of their day. I adored how they would look at each other during vows. Or how Jim would regularly make Kaila laugh. It was easy to see by everyone just how perfect they are for the other. And these two as well as all their guests danced the whole night away while the skies put on a lightening show for everyone.

The Oaks at Plum Creek named aptly for you guessed it the oak brush and trees that surround the ceremony site. Another place I want to explore and photograph with a little less rain next time but it is truly a beautiful spot. I loved that Kaila and Jim walked through them into their ceremony. Just gorgeous!
