Rhize Wedding in Colorado | Kyrae and Matt
Kyrae and Matt chose to elope in the gorgeous mountains just past Woodland Park. Rhize sets itself apart in being a truly remote and well thought out wedding venue. They had a few spots that you can get married at and Kyrae and Matt chose Eagles Nest. An a frame cabins sits at the top of the mountain that had stunning views from every direction. Right out the steps from this adorable cabin was Matt and Kyrae’s wedding ceremony spot. I loved the arch made out of aspen trees…perfectly framed these two for their vows.
Inside this charming A frame was where Kyrae had all of her wedding details including a bouquet put together by Rhize. The cabin had a tiny little wood burning stove and a couch that turns into a bed should you stay over night there. I loved that the side of the cabin opens up to a deck that overlooks the beautiful Colorado forest. I think one of my favorite moments on this couples wedding was when Kyrae read Matt’s personal vows to her. She was so completely wrapped up in everything Matt was saying to her and I loved how he so easily made her laugh. These two just adore each other and it was so fun to photograph them together. When Matt see’s Kyrae for the first time his whole fast lit up.
In true Colorado fashion in June, we started off with a foggy day that quickly moved to a quick blizzard! We were able to have photos up at the ceremony site and then we moved down to their reception which was held in an equally charming building. Best way I can describe it is it reminding me of a green house on half of it but the other side had a kitchen and wood burning stove as well. Rhize had set up a table with a delicious cake, beautiful flowers and candles lit. I love that Rhize also makes a special lunch for their couples and family. Kyrae and Matt were able to have photos in the a frame green house and then several outside in that crazy blizzard. Not mad at all about that as it was some of my favorite photos of the year with that beautiful snow creating magic for them. We ended their elopement with a toast and I loved that the fire was crackling and listening to them laugh with their family as I left. Truly a special Colorado wedding to be part of.
Kyrae and Matt, thank you so much for having me be part of your beautiful elopement at Rhize! The two of you made me feel so honored to be there and I truly loved watching you guys laugh, cry and share in such a remarkable ceremony.
