Frank and Elise | Spruce Mountain | Denver Wedding Photographer

July 21, 2015

We could not have asked for a better day for Elise and Frank.   Gorgeous sunny sky’s…not a rain cloud in site.  Lately that is rare so it was a really happy day for me and Jen. 😉    I photograph a lot of weddings and its amazing how much you get to become an observer.  Photographing little moments, big moments…all the in between details…and I love it all.  With Elise and Frank…all through out the day, they just seemed to be appreciating their moment.   All the planning that went into place…they let that go and just simply enjoyed their wedding.  Haha…I know it sounds weird.  But they danced together, chatted with their guests together…you could tell how close they were by how much they laughed through out the day.  I loved it.

This was our first Jewish ceremony to photograph and it was absolutely stunning, heartfelt and beautiful.  The wedding takes place under a chuppah…symbolizing the new home that Elise and Frank will build together.   It was over this beautiful arch that they had placed flowers all around it with.   Another tradition that I loved was the Ketubah, the marriage contract.  They had it placed in a large frame and it was written in their personal vows to each other and its signed by their witnesses.  So beautiful and what a treasure to be able to see that in their new home together.   Another tradition I loved was the breaking of the glass…just before Frank kisses Elise for the first time…and the guests and family were asked to say Mazel Tov, Mazel Tov twice.  Well, actually it was shouted with great joy and cheers were made as Frank and Elise kissed for the first time as Mr. and Mrs.  SO beautiful.  Not only was the ceremony beautiful but as they began their reception they were lifted up on chairs and the guests danced and circled around them.  It was the kind of moment where you seriously can’t contain this kind of happiness…and me going into observation mode, I watched the parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles, cousins…it was a huge moment for them.  And I loved being part of that.    It was beautiful and something I won’t ever forget.

To say I loved photographing this wedding would be an understatement.  Emotional, gorgeous, happy…really want you want your wedding to be.  Congrats Elise and Frank…I simply LOVE that I was part of your wedding.  And I hope for many blessings on your marriage.  Here are a few of my favorites from their wedding day!
