I met Laura and Kevin several months ago. We chatted over coffee and tea. They discussed what it was they were looking for in a wedding photographer…an experience. They wanted it to feel like the photographer they hired was a friend…part of their day and someone they could laugh with. When they decided I was that person for their wedding…ahhh, it simply encouraged me because of what they said. That I could give them that experience…I don’t take it lightly. Each couple that hires me I become so involved with their wedding. Watching it unfold its such a precious gift to be given. That its my job…even more of a blessing.
So during their engagement session we had a random 65 degree weather day. We had talked about snow gear a couple weeks before and how fun that would be for their shoot. Well, Colorado had other plans and it ended up looking like a warm spring day. They brought their dogs Bear and Radlie. Ummmmm, Bear, their fluffly white fur baby was sitting on Laura’s lap when they pulled up with Radlie leaning her head around to peek out…it was love at first sight. I discovered that trying to hold two dogs on their leashes while photographing Laura and Kevin made for some mega comic relief moments. Haha…hard to look cool while almost tripping. But it was worth it.
Enjoy a few of our favorites from their beautiful Garden of the Gods Engagement session!
