Boettcher Mansion | Laura and Kevin | Denver Wedding Photographer

September 8, 2016

This wedding will forever stand out for the portraits at sunset.  Not because of how epic it was…or how drawn I was to that setting…but because of the actual tangible happiness I felt in that moment.  Jen and I were pretty much looking at each other in shock as the scene unfolded.  Haha..happiness yes, that it was a moment that we can’t believe we get to kind of thing.    I was watching Kevin and Laura and you could simply see their emotions.  They had just had amazing toasts given by their best man and maid of honor that had left everyone laughing with tears down their face and reaching for tissues as they shared happy and sweet memories.   The ceremony with the personal emotional vows and as they they promised their commitment to each other were fresh on my mind.  The day seemed to blink by…but that moment at sunset as I watched the sun dip down behind the mountain I looked at Kevin and Laura and I felt incredibly fortunate to have been their photographer.  That I could share that moment with them…ahhh, it was a life/work moment.

I loved the personal touches at each of the tables for Kevin and Laura’s guests.  The tables were marked with photos of various adventures the couple had been on and that was how the guests would find their tables.   Gorgeous floral work from the Newberry Brothers graced the tables.  And fresh cut aspen was used to decorate all through out the reception.  I loved their sign…Adventure Awaits.  So fitting for this couple.  Their cake topper haha…so made me smile.  I wish their cute little fur babies could have made it to the wedding.  They are just that cute.  I photographed them at their engagement earlier on in the year and they so make me smile.

Kevin and Laura, a couple that made everyone laugh and smile and feel so loved all through out their wedding day.  They have a way of making total strangers feel as if you  have been friends for years.  What a gracious and sweet couple.  I am so honored to have been chosen to be their wedding photographer.  Here are a few of my favorites from their wedding day.
