Being asked to photograph Nashika and Shane’s elopement at Garden of the Gods was truly an honor and a sweet memory for me.  I had spent the weekend before hiking around Garden of the Gods with some friends looking for the perfect spot.  One of my friends had mentioned this beautiful place in the park that was pulled a little further away from all the highly trafficked areas there.    Such a beautiful spot…natural arches formed in the rocks and I knew it would be special for them to say their vows to each other underneath it.  Garden of the Gods is known for its beautiful red rock formations and of course all the stunning views of Pikes Peak.  Getting married here, ahhh, simply a beautiful idea.    If you’ve never been I recommend hiking and exploring it.  So gorgeous!

I loved having the opportunity to photograph their beginning.  Their hand written vows and the sweet way they love each other.  The way Shane looked at her was so obvious how smitten he was with her.  They mentioned that they met swing dancing.  She was just learning and he asked her to dance.   He danced his way into her life…part of her personal vows to him.  So romantic.   They flew in for the weekend and the day could not have been more beautiful.  Shane and Nashika, I’m so incredibly honored you asked me to be part of your elopement.  I simply wish you both the best in life.  <3
