Cherry Hills Golf Club Wedding | Jimmy and Alex

Such an elegant and timeless wedding at the Cherry Hills Golf Club!  The day started over at Lady of Loreto and let me tell you this church absolutely took my breath away.  Such incredible architecture at Lady of Loreto.  The stained glass windows and high vaulted ceilings made for such a dramatic ceremony for Jimmy and Alex.  Alex and her bridemaids getting ready at the room overlooking the ceremony site was fun for me to observe.  Each of her girls would tear up at random moments or make Alex laugh and smile.  I loved how close they all were with Alex’s Mom as well.  You could see just what a close knit group this day was going to feel like.  Which was incredible as it was one of the largest weddings I’ve photographed in a while.  It says so much about Alex and Jimmy and their families with just how close they were to all the guests and family that came to celebrate and share in the joy of their beautiful day.

After their stunning ceremony at Lady of Loreto they all headed over to the gorgeous Cherry HIlls Golf Club.  Oh my goodness…equally impressive as the reception overlooks the foothills and mountains.  And one of my favorite things about their reception was all the gorgeous Cotton Wood Trees that surrounded the venue.  It reminded me a bit of Illinois.  I loved having Alex and Jimmy’s portraits tucked into the grove of trees.  Getting to see the way Jimmy would make Alex laugh or the way they easily relaxed into each other was so beautiful.  You could see how in love they were with each other.

The floral work at each table was exquisite and I loved the personal touch of having some of Alex and Jimmy’s engagement photos at each table.   And they way it was lit up at night with candles was so beautiful.  Just an incredibly stunning reception set up!

I can’t not talk about the epic sunset that took place that day.  They were wrapping up their toasts and were going to go directly into cake cutting but I had been watching the sun slowly work its way down and I told them…give me 5 minutes and then we can cut that gorgeous cake.  They agreed and ran with me to the gorgeous sunset.  Haha..slightly fast paced but SO worth that golden hour if you can catch it.

They ran back in…cut that beautiful cake and went right into some of the most beautiful first dances I’ve seen in a while.  I loved the carefree and beautiful happy vibe everyone had during the reception!  I simply can not wait to share a few of my favorites from their lovely Cherry Hills Golf Club Wedding!
