Tivoli Station | Denver Wedding Photographer | Dom and Jenn

This wedding was a whole lot of wow.  I’m pretty sure I had to stop myself several times through out the day and say I can’t believe I get to do this.  That this is my job…gosh I love what I do.  YES, the architecture at the Tivoli Station is absolutely amazing in Denver.  From the antique white washed tin ceilings in the girls getting ready area…to the gorgeous high windows and the brushed exposed brick.  In the guys area…which was also where the cocktail hour was, old worn in flooring, gorgeous brick, tall ceilings with all exposed wood work…just the detailing on this was impressive.  It wasn’t made in the last few years to look old but has been here for a long time.  I loved that.  They had market lighting strung up and hung all across the main reception and ceremony area with candles twinkling all night.  SO romantic and timeless.  So YES, these things made me stop and say wow it was this couple that I adored working with.  Gracious, kind, incredibly funny and they were SO in their moment.  They took time through out the day to let each other know that this wedding this day was something they each treasured.  And I loved seeing it.  Jenn and Dom chose to have a first look at the Byron Courthouse in downtown Denver.  OMG this place you guys…white washed everything and huge tall pillars with mint green lanterns…just a photographers dream to photograph.  I loved the way the light danced along the leading lines everywhere.  And can I say I’m so thankful Dom and Jenn had a first look.  Not only did that mean more time together but it also meant that when it rained later on that day we had so many beautiful moments in that gorgeous sunshine before it hit.  I seriously can’t recommend first looks enough on a wedding day.  Time goes by SO fast and you think you have all the time in the world for everything…this helps slow it down a little.  Who doesn’t want more time with their new hubby/wife?  🙂

After that we headed back to the Tivoli Station and set up to take there beautiful and intimate ceremony.  Their vows had everyone shedding tears.  Both of them said, I like you and I love you at the end of their vows.  So sweet and I made me smile.  With the candles burning, the gorgeous market lighting overhead and the sunlight softly going down for the day this is a ceremony I won’t soon forget.

The way the Tivoli Station is set up you can overlook the dance floor from above and I absolutely loved getting to photograph from that perspective.  Can I start putting that in a contract…its a must  haha.  So often I’m on the outside trying to get inside a circle that develops around my couple and I just want to photograph their happy faces.  Haha…THIS guys is your answer.  Just give me a balcony, I got you. 😉  Anyway, this reception from start to finish was amazing.  You could see Dom and Jenn’s happiness all through out the day.  I loved being part of their gorgeous Tivoli Station Wedding and I can’t wait to share more of their beautiful day here.  To follow more of my work head on over to my facebook page:
