The Mining Exchange | Colorado Springs Wedding

Ahhhh, this Colorado Springs Wedding is a special one for me.  Well, really they all are but this one in particular because I was photographing my friends Aaron and Devin.  We met at our gym Crossfit Endemic (shout out to my gym peeps 😉 ) and have spent many weekends laughing or crying (depends on the wod) with them.  Life friends for sure for our family.   To dig a little deeper on that one, one weekend I had a crazy busy weekend and I would be gone most of the time and Jon was on call so Aaron and Devin picked up my kids took them miniature golfing and for icecream later.  I mean, I didn’t even ask them to do that.  Haha…I thought it was so incredibly sweet and shows what kind of people they are.  They are the drop everything and help if they can kind of friends.   Jon and Aaron built the gorgeous backdrop that we decided would be named #hexalove for the day.  We just really love this couple and watching them get married, or photographing them was a highlight wedding for me.

And let me just say the Mining Exchange is an amazing place to get married at!   Devin and Aaron were married in the courtyard and the gorgeous texture of the buildings and market lighting added so much charm and such a unique look.  I was SO in love with getting to photograph a more urban wedding.  I’m typically in the mountains and I love that but it was a fun change for me.   And Dave, (another crossfit friend) married them and had everyone laughing.  Seriously, I think you need to look into a career change.  Such a special and beautiful ceremony for Aaron and Devin.

Their reception took place in what was called the Silver Room.  Gorgeous silver curtains, big chandeliers, and an incredible vintage silver ceiling!    We were also so fortunate that we were allowed to go up to the roof of the Mining Exchange and have a few epic photos of the city with Devin and Aaron.

You guys!!  I had the hardest time decided what to pick for their wedding day blog post.  Or even how to describe it.  I might be oversharing on this one for the pics but hey its not every day I get to photograph my friends.  Love you Aaron and Devin.  So honored to have been part of your day and that I was able to celebrate it with you!
