Cheyenne Mountain Resort Wedding | Colorado Springs Wedding Photographer

Cheyenne Mountain Resorts sits right at the bottom of the Pikes Peak. And the weather is somewhat unpredictable in typical Colorado style. For Myles and Alyssa’s beautiful wedding we got to have ALL weather. And I loved it. It made for some incredibly dramatic clouds and a beautiful ceremony. I’m sure as they said their vows under that soft rain they maybe didn’t hope for that but the smiles and reactions of everyone watching were completely unforgettable. After the ceremony I remember Myles saying that the ceremony was absolutely perfect. That he wouldn’t change a thing. That right there…that is beautiful. It wasn’t about the weather…it wasn’t about the location. It was completely about marrying the love of his life. About showing their commitment to the other. And lets be honest, in marriage you will have sunshine and you will have storms. Why not start of your marriage with both as well. 😉

There was a lot I loved about Myles and Alyssa’s beautiful Cheyenne Mountain Resort wedding…but I particularly loved when they read their letters. A quite moment to hear the other’s thoughts and declarations of why they loved the other. It was so beautiful and thoughtful. Alyssa and Myles chose to have a first look and I adored the way Myles’s face lit up as soon as he turned around and saw Alyssa for the first time. You guys, this couple…so meant for each other. I love when I can see that connection. When I can feel the energy and why the couple adore the other. Magic. And it always makes me reflect on how much I love what I do. I get to photograph so many life moments and the in between things on a wedding day. Its such an honor!

We were able to take Myles and Alyssa out at sunset and Colorado did not disappoint on creating a beautiful backdrop for their portraits. We laughed and chased the last bit of sunlight for their wedding day and then took them back to dance the night away. I loved photographing this couple and their wedding and I can not wait to share a few of my favorites!

To Myles and Alyssa, YOU guys are such bright souls! I loved laughing with you guys, tearing up at your beautiful moments, watching you dance and love on each other. Thank you for your incredible kind words and encouragement through out the whole process of working with you. Thank you for trusting me with your beautiful wedding day!
