Larkspur Events Vail Wedding
Who’s ready to go to Vail with me today? Well, at least a trip down memory lane. 😉 I am getting back to my blog after taking a few months off from blogging (hello crazy wedding season) and I can not wait to share this gorgeous Vail wedding of Julie and Dan’s. Elegant, classy, breathtaking mountain views and stunning bright flowers everywhere…such an amazing wedding to photograph!
I was greeted at the door of Julie’s suite with a big hug and smile from Julie. Everyone was laughing and the light coming through with those gorgeous mountains really made this photographers heart happy. It felt so laid back and relaxed and you could feel the anticipation. The same could be said of Dan. When we set him up for their first look you could tell he was just ready to see Julie. The way these two compliment each other was truly inspiring. At one point before they were going to be announced into the reception they were sharing a drink quietly in the corner and laughing about something. This, so much of this is important. I loved seeing them enjoy their day with their guests but also with each other. First looks allow time to spend the majority of it together. Not only that but they were able to the cocktail hour with their guests too.
Back to the ceremony, if you get married in the mountains, you know its highly possible you’ll get a little bit of rain. Especially in July. Half way through the ceremony it decided to pour down on us. Haha…I LOVED Julie’s response. She grabbed Dan’s hand and they ran inside to share the rest of their vows by candle light. So they got the best of both worlds. Outdoor, indoor candle lit ceremony…win win. 😉
Larkspur Events has incredible views all around it. The dinner experience was amazing. We had several courses and between courses they had their family and friends share toasts. I was so enthralled with the stories. Laughing and tearing up right along with Dan and Julie and I’m sure everyone else that went to this beautiful wedding. Heartfelt, a little roasting and the ambiance of candle light set the tone for such an intimate toast. Well done best man and maid of honor!
The sun came back out for a bit and I grabbed Julie and Dan and we chased the light for a bit. Sunset was beautiful and I only needed a few minutes to give them some of my favorite images of the day.
You guys, having a wedding in Vail…such a beautiful place to get married at. Having a couple like Julie and Dan to photograph their…even better.
