Briarhurst Manor Wedding | Janessa and Drew

What an incredible wedding for me to photograph. I met Janessa several years ago for her senior photos…yes, back in the day when I still did senior portrait work. And I’m so glad it led me to being part of her beautiful wedding at the Briarhurst Manor. When speaking with Janessa and Drew they mentioned how much they loved the charm and character of Briarhurst Manor. Seriously, the windows and their unique shapes, the gorgeous stone work, the random knights, the library’s tucked into random corners and the gorgeous vines that grew all along the outside of the building. Charming, is absolutely the best way to describe this place.

I loved how they incorporated books into their seating chart and into their cake. They both have a huge love for knowledge and for reading together so it was the perfect addition to their wedding. Each and every wedding I approach I want my focus to be on not only where were they married (location is SO important in story telling) but also in details, the people, the things that brought my clients to smile while planning their wedding. I want them to relive it after they’ve received their images and be able to show exactly what they hoped for to their friends and family. And with Janessa and Drew, I loved that they brought so many personal touches to their day. Getting ready for Janessa, it was so sweet that she was able to add finishing touches in her bedroom that she spend many years at getting ready. It felt full on Father of the Bride for me in that moment. So sweet and special.

Drew is the perfect match for Janessa. Seriously, not a soul around them would be able to say otherwise. They compliment each other so well. I loved the way he made her laugh and the way she looked at him. Such obvious soul mates.
