Nate and Deanna hired me for their larger wedding at Taharra Mountain Lodge but like a lot of my couples they either had to postpone getting married or they improvised. Nate and Deanna opted to have a small intimate elopement with a larger celebration with all their friends and family later on this year. I loved that they knew they didn’t want to spend another year without sharing their vows to each other. And lets be honest, Estes Park is an incredible place for an elopement. Taharra Mountain Lodge was so incredibly accommodating for Nate and Deanna and it will be so special for them to go back again this year with their guests getting to relive their beautiful day.
When Nate and Deanna asked if I was able to do a quick Estes Park elopement with them I jumped at the opportunity. We have a camper and my family regularly gets to travel with me to mountain towns around Colorado. My job has provided some amazing places for us to keep exploring…so bring on alllllll the mountain town adventures. Another great thing about bringing the family is I often talk them into hikes where I want to photograph so I can scout around before I have a session. We discovered some beautiful and more quiet spots around Mary’s Lake that only required a short hike for Nate and Deanna and their wedding party.
Nate and Deanna, how do I describe them as a couple? For me it was so obvious that they were such good friends with each other. That sense of ease and laughter that was so often found between these two was a dream to photograph. Their personal vows to each other were so beautiful and soulful. I love that I get a window into moments like that. That I get to share with their family the highlights to their elopement…its such an honor. Nate and Deanna, I can not wait for your wedding later on this year. I’m looking forward to seeing the love and joy all your friends and family will bring to your special day!
