Cheyenne Mountain Resort Wedding | Jessica and Alex
June in Colorado can be hit or miss on rain. And the weather decided it would be off an on rain all day with a few thunderstorms to keep everyone on their toes. Cheyenne Mountain Resort can get a lot more lighting strikes than other venues as its right up next to the mountains. So they had to make the difficult decision to have their ceremony indoors. What I loved about Alex and Jessica is that through it all they couldn’t wait to share their personal vows to each other where ever that had to be. They laughed and cried all through out the day. Jessica has a personality that when she smiles she simply lights up the whole room. Its impossible not to smile back.
Cheyenne Mountain Resort has so many beautiful places for portraits. I chose a spot that was a little bit off the course but was framed perfectly by these gorgeous cotton wood trees. Views of the mountains and less traveled by guests is a win. We managed to dodge the rain for a bit so that Alex and Jess could have a moment to see each other before they had their ceremony. Having a first look is an opportunity to take a more quite moment together and call your nerves as well as having a more personal time to reflect on your wedding day. I adored the way Alex loved on Jess all day. Holding the umbrella over her, picking her up to dash away if needed on the crazy storms approaching lol…so easy to see how these two care and love each other so much.
I loved going back through the images for their wedding and their dance photos were some of my favorites. Dancing into the night and easily making this a sweet wedding to be part of. Alex and Jessica, absolutely loved working with both of you. Wishing you both the best in all your latest adventures!
