The Pinery | A Colorado Springs Wedding | Jackie and Eric
This day, from start to finish, had the best energy. I guess you could say it wasn’t the day that had the energy but this couple, their friends, and family…just positive beautiful and happy vibes. I loved that for them. When I went back and looked through the images from their beautiful wedding at the Pinery I had a huge smile on my face. It brought back so many of the little moments.
We started off their day with the guys. They had rented a suite over at Garden of the Gods and then headed on over to the ladies that were getting ready at the Pinery. Gosh, I love Colorado Springs. The mountains and of course Garden of the Gods are pretty central to everywhere here. I loved that Eric and Jackie had their portraits with those gorgeous Colorado mountains as their backdrop. But back to Eric and the guys. Its always interesting watching groomsmen on a wedding day. You just never know what they are going to bring to the table. But these guys had Eric’s back on anything. Helping him with the odds and ends on a wedding day…I could see the awesome friendships he has with them. That could equally be said for the ladies as well. They kept the music and dancing and smiles ALL day long. It was pretty much impossible not to grin back with Jackie. I know its often said but she has a smile that can light up a room instantly. Also, it needs to be said, the Pinery in Colorado Springs has such a gorgeous bridal suite. The colors they chose on the wall, the bright window light, the makeup stations, the views…its always such a stunning place for portraits and getting ready details on a wedding.
Eric and Jackie shared their vows at St Francis of Assisi in Colorado Springs. Gorgeous church tucked right into a forest. I loved the big vaulted ceilings and stain glass windows. From the ceremony we moved to portraits at Mesa Overlook near Garden of the Gods. The day could not have been better for them. Beautiful and breathtaking views that are so a part of Colorado Springs…it was the perfect place for portraits for them. The guests were enjoying cocktail hour while we snuck in the wedding party. The way they all chose to enter the reception still has me laughing. Bubbles, money being thrown in the air, and some serious dance moves really set the tone for how the night was going to go down at the Pinery.
The Pinery has the most gorgeous ballroom area with added lights for the dance floor and of course those incredible city views every where to be seen. I loved Jackie and Eric’s choreographed first dance. These two are just the perfect match. Which was also obvious during the toasts. Their friends and family gave a fair amount of roasting that had us all laughing. Did I mention this day was just happy energy? Right to the very last moment where they had a confetti exit. What a celebration of these two. I could not be more honored to have been part of their wedding. Thank you Jackie and Eric for having me. Love the happiness you both share and embrace giving to anyone you meet.
To my girl Justyna, thank you so much for sharing your talent with me to bring to Eric and Jackie for their wedding day. You are so much fun to be around and I look forward to working with you again some day soon!
