Donovan Pavilion | Vail Wedding | Samantha and Eric

Vail is one of my favorite mountain towns in Colorado. The downtown area is such a vibe. Add in a whole wedding party cruising down the whole street and it instantly sets the tone for celebrations. Even random strangers will try and get in the photos as you’ll see in this beautiful Vail wedding. Samantha and Eric had such fun details. When Samantha and I were talking on the phone for planning their wedding day they mentioned that they would be digging up whiskey (bourbon) at their VRBO the day of their wedding. They had buried it a month prior to their wedding date and the word is it brings good luck on your wedding day. And I have to say, the WHOLE day was amazing from start to finish with so much happiness. Honestly, one of my favorite things about these two is that their joy does leap out in these images. Also, when they made their grand entrance into the Donovan Pavilion and all the guests and family were waving their napkins you could just feel the energy. Nothing but pure sweet celebrations!

My associate, Chelsea Spika, was the perfect fit for photographing Samantha and Eric’s beautiful Vail wedding at the Donovan Pavilion. She has been photographing Colorado weddings with me for over 8 years and has recently in the past few years started associate shooting for my business Elizabeth Ann Photography. When she is my 2nd with me we often compete…in a friendly way of course, who can out shoot the other. Haha…I HATE that she does sometimes but also love it. Talented friend and I’m so honored to have her on my team. Heather Obendorf was her 2nd for the day and these two absolutely crushed the vision for this Colorado wedding. So many moments caught and forever captured and I’m so thankful to be able to continue photographing so many stories with them.
