Lost Gulch Overlook | Denver Wedding Photographer

Well, Boulder, Colorado is incredible.  There are SO many gorgeous places to photograph and Lost Gulch Overlook is one of them!  Reed and Sarah will be having their wedding in Boulder end of May and they wanted to check this spot out for potential wedding day photos of just the two of them.  And I’m just over here…UMMMMMM yes, yes, please.  Haha.   It was my first time photographing Lost Gulch Overlook and the views are just insane.  I will say its also incredibly dangerous in spots.  We went on a mild winter warm day but there was ice and snow left over in spots making it an added adventure of not slipping or sliding in spots.  Seriously, they were so much fun to photograph too.  They are both in Texas right now full time so having them fly in for the weekend and take care of engagement photos and all the fun wedding day tastings made for a fun getaway.

A couple things to keep in mind for Lost Gulch Overlook if you are thinking of having your engagement photos there.  1. being extra careful is a must lol.  They don’t put rails up in some of the more breathtaking views…and rightly so BUT it makes it a little tricky in the winter.  2. Be prepared to work around a LOT of people.  This is a popular Boulder spot.  And while most people are gracious enough to let us sneak in a few photos they were there to take in the views too.  So if you don’t love being romantic in front of a ton of people this is not the spot for you.  Oh and speaking of that, there was a moment with Sarah and Reed when I was posing them and a few random people asked if they could take their pictures too.  Sarah was like….uhhhh ok.  Haha.  I think they thought they were celebrities.   I mean I clearly look like a celebrity photographer.  😉 3. Last but not least…its epic…so working around the first two are manageable.

Sarah and Reed, you guys were a dream to work with.  I loved getting to know you both better and simply can not wait to celebrate your gorgeous Boulder wedding end of May!
