Rocky Mountain National Park | Dream Lake | Maygen and Chad

Raise your hand if you live in Colorado and you still have not been to Rocky Mountain National Park.  OMG if thats you…you seriously need to just go there.  Hike around explore how crazy amazing it is.  But if you do go there you should head to Bear Lake.  From there you can hike up to Dream Lake.  Its intense in the winter though.  No joke…the wind up there is insane.  All the ice and wind blowing together made for some fun moments for Maygen and Chad’s engagement session.  My hubby ended up coming with me that day and I have to say it was pretty awesome to have the extra help.  He carried my gear, helped me out of snow drifts, an icy watery hole…oh yes, I found out my northface foots were def. water proof.  😉 Anyway, I’m thinking if anyone wants to hike Dream Lake having an extra set of hands is pretty awesome.

Maygen and Chad wanted to include a few pics of their St. Bernard and I know that most of Rocky Mountain National Park does not allow dogs.  So we went just outside the park and her roommate took Bruiser home after his modeling debut…I mean portraits.  😉 He is the CUTEST.  Ahhh,  I love when my couples include their fur babies.  It makes for some fun and very authentic smiles.  After we did that we headed up to Bear Lake.  ITs about a mile hike up to Dream lake from the Bear Lake parking lot.  And a lot of it is up hill.  So having a set of yaks will be a life saver in the winter.  But you guys!  The light was perfect for Maygen and Chad’s engagement session!  I knew I wanted to get up there earlier in the day as the sun dips down SO fast in the mountains.  If you don’t leave early you’ll def. end up hiking after the sun has set.  I simply can not wait to share a few of my favorites from their Rocky Mountain National Park Engagement session at Dream Lake.

Congrats again Maygen and Chad!  You guys were so amazing to work with!
